Basecamp Subscription Box

Problem:

Not a lot of homeowners have the time or resources to become more sustainable. There are many different resources where you can learn more about sustainability.

Solution:

Basecamp will send you items that are already categorized as sustainable. The subscription forces you to take action, while it also explains how each item is promoting sustainability.

Deliverables:
Subscription Box | Information Cards
Website | Poster | Collateral | Brand Standards | Process Book

Software Used:
Illustrator | Photoshop | Figma

Brainstorming:

In college, I wanted to reuse the logo of a brand I created called “Basecamp Outdoor Collective” during junior year. I wanted to repurpose it for a new project centered on sustainability. I have always done projects based around nature, so I wanted to stick with that for my senior project.  I wanted to explore subscription boxes as a way to learn more about package design.

Subscription Logistics:

I aimed for the subscription box to gradually introduce sustainability to the user. I chose to do three steps because I didn't want to overwhelming subscribers. Each box represents a month, resulting in a three-month subscription. I then identified common household areas for sourcing sustainable items.

I completed a range of research from personas to surveys. The goal of my research was to find out how much people know about sustainability and if they are interested in the topic.

The main deliverables included the mailer box, information cards, and website. The other deliverables incluce an advertisement and brand standards.
